DEGOLYER Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The DeGolyer Elementary PTA is an active group of parents that supports our Dolphin scholars, teachers, and staff with their continuous support.
Our PTA contributes countless volunteer hours every year as they help with fundraising, teacher support, and coordinating events such as Cheers and Tears (first day of school), Fall Fling Dance, Pumpkin Contest, the W.T. White Homecoming parade float, Jingle Bell Run-a-Thon, Talent Show, Spirit Nights at Local Restaurants, Movie Under the Stars, Ballroom Dancing, Roller Skating, New Student Tours, and more.
Joining the PTA is an excellent way to stay informed about school happenings, have a voice in decisions made that affect our campus, support your students, make friends, and get to know the incredible staff at our neighborhood school. General meetings are held once per quarter (Sept., Dec., Feb. & May) and consist of a brief recap of recent events and an overview of upcoming PTA activities.
The cost to join the PTA is $10 and can be done at degolyerpta.org. Some of your membership fee goes to National and State PTA, but more than half stays at our school to help fund some of the many activities listed above! JOIN US!
