Campus Visitors

DeGolyer uses the Raptor Technologies V-Soft visitor registry program to ensure the safety and security of our students.  Upon entering the school, a visitor will present a valid state or government issued photo identification card (usually a person’s driver license) to the front desk attendant to be scanned into the Raptor system.   Once completed, a visitor’s badge will be issued with the person’s name and photo, the date, the time, and the destination within the building for the visit.  All visitors need to sign out before leaving.

Please note that an appointment is required before visiting a classroom or meeting with a teacher.  Visitors will not be allowed to walk through the hallways during the school day without an appointment.   Visitor badges must be worn and visible at all times.

 Volunteers

 Volunteers are an important part of DeGolyer.  Parents are encouraged to contact the counselor or main office for additional details.  Frequently needed support:

•      Reading with students, grades K-2
•      Library support
•      Tuesday Folder weekly preparation
•      Teacher planning support
•      Field Trip chaperones
•      Carline support (morning/afternoon)

 All volunteers working with children are required to:

 1.  Attend a volunteer training and

 2.  Complete a background check online at

Your support and partnership is of great value and we appreciate everything you do to help our students and school. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the counselor. Both the volunteer training and background check must be completed every year.

 

Visitantes

DeGolyer utiliza el programa de registro de visitantes V-Soft de Raptor Technologies para garantizar la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes. Al ingresar a la escuela, un visitante presentará una tarjeta de identificación con fotografía válida emitida por el estado o el gobierno (por lo general, la licencia de conducir de una persona) al encargado de la recepción para escanearla en el sistema Raptor. Una vez completado, se emitirá un gafete de visitante con el nombre y la foto de la persona, la fecha, hora y el destino dentro del edificio para la visita. Todos los visitantes deben cerrar sesión antes de irse.

Ten cuenta que se requiere una cita antes de visitar un salón de clases o una reunión con un maestro. A los visitantes no se les permitirá caminar por los pasillos durante el día escolar sin una cita. Las etiqueta de visitante debe ser usada y visible durante todo el tiempo que este en la escuela.

Voluntarios

 Los voluntarios son una parte importante de DeGolyer. Se les recomienda a los padres comunicarse con el consejero o la oficina principal para obtener detalles adicionales. Se necesita apoyo con frecuencia en las siguientes areas:

· Lectura con estudiantes de kínder a 2do grado

· Biblioteca

· Cafeteria

· Chaperones de escursiones

· Linea de autos (mañana / tarde)

 

Todos los voluntarios que trabajan con niños deben:

 

1. Asistir a un entrenamiento voluntario

Su apoyo y asociación son de gran valor y apreciamos todo lo que hace para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes y la escuela. Si estás interesado en ser voluntario, contacta al consejero. Capacitación de voluntarios y verificación de antecedentes se deben completar cada año, todos los años.
